If he didn't it would logically negate the concept from the get go and that perception of a God would have to deal with the problem that God is in fact cruel petty and foolish because he changes his mind halfway through simply because he doesn't want people to suffer the consequences for their own actions. God is a pretty fucking brilliant concept, its practically alien for its time period and far more advanced than most people realized but I still prefer the old pagan pantheon. Why is Mercury the God of commerce, travel, and theives? He's the messenger of the Gods the God of information. Why is it that Athena then is the Goddess of science, war, and peace? She's the God of wisdom, which is knowing what to do with information.Talbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04501014149741926614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26110594.post-74765452627207607052011-06-18T02:00:38.569+03:002011-06-18T02:00:38.569+03:00Not quite, I am an atheist myself but I hate to br...Not quite, I am an atheist myself but I hate to break it to you but the bible actually is pretty sound with its theology. Most arguments such as the ol' can god create a rock to heavy etc have arguments on both sides and is a product of cultural and linguistic properties not logic. Anywho God created a system of laws which have consequences (laws of nature) the idea is that this world is made the way it is; we are incapable of arguing another world in which say "sin doesn't exist" (sin is a multicultural phenomenon an action that doesn't make you or anyone else happy and brings suffering into the world, an action without a true purpose and with negative consequences IE: Evil that is why even Buddhist's believe in sin)With that in mind God refusing to remove the consequences is the recognition that cause and effect are something we will always deal with and that even if we are forgiven spiritually we must deal with the tangible consequences regardless.Talbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04501014149741926614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26110594.post-21664035669142437202007-06-17T18:27:00.000+03:002007-06-17T18:27:00.000+03:00Grace, grace, grace and more grace...you present i...Grace, grace, grace and more grace...you present it very well Nevender; bless you.
