ANd she is hangin out with a muslim...i ain't hating here, just questing---is Christ a joke for many of us? A song without heart?

And my ramblings go on...

aww mush

Guess what? Chris Benoit is dead. The other famous short wrestler who almost had no neck ( or is it kneck?...lol) Anyway, he was found dead plus he and his son...google that up, coz am now switching subjects.

So on Saturday we had a dinner and guess what- it was fun; at least everybody enjoyed it. Ok....stop prying, i did not enjoy as much as I would have liked coz the guests we had invited ( and this still annoys me) did not come, and their so called rep did not come either...so i was movin around, checkin on how people were. Although I got to be guest of honor coz the real one was not around, i did not get to spend as much time as i would have wanted with my date...and she was so beautiful, aww mush!!!!

Man!! What do you eat and what do you not eat at a dinner!!! I need answers! I wanted to do like 3 rounds but i only got as far as one! My buddy said, never do matooke...another one became carnivorous, as in he ate everything meaty. And his plate emptied at the end.

Otherwise, the project has hit another oba unexpected event? Now, our supervisor wants us to do something like the Dijikstra...and I ain't even ever done mathematics... Okay, ever I have but my best mark must have been a 70%, and that was phenomenal for me, back in s.4. You get my drift?

Iwaya. Thanks. For reading my blog. I think I write more now coz of your encouragement.

Benoit is dead!!!??? (I am more shocked than wondering) I was reading and found that some wrestler called Owen Hart was killed in a wrestling event. So, who ever says mbu they are acting....

I am now tired of campus, really- except that there is lady who causes me to have a reason to stay. If she ever reads this...tanks.

If i start about ladies, my complaints won't end so i better go back and find wat to do.

Guess what, those rumblings i had last time? Never materialised...I left my blogspot for the lies of sound

nothing serious

It is damn cold this morning and I forsook my jacket so am here waiting to get to some place warm. I wish the rapture would occur now, there is really not much to live for, maybe just to escape from but not to live for...and there goes the rumble in my tummy. Guys, see, i love to blog but circumstances like this force me to leave in the middle of it. Later...

Christian brethren doing secular zikii...

okay, at first it was minor, nothing of great imjportance but the rate at which I see more Christian brethren getting into the secular world the more confused I get. I asked a question at a party one time; "where do you think Jesus would be if he were here now? at Ange Noir or at Miracle Centre?" and I still do not know what to think of the answer. Okay, there are few names i know- Switchfoot, altho no completely secular, I hear skillet okay all these are rockers but i was shocked when i learned that Stacie Oricco's Beautiful Awakening is a secular album! Courtesy of Virgin records- not Christian i say...

young, yes she is- easily convinced?- maybe...am not judging. just need answers to the phenomenon.

Life goes on...in more than one weird way...

A failed attempt, dwindling finances, unkept promises, missed appointments blah and more blah. Life goes on in more than one weird way!

Deadline after deadline. Last breath after last breath. God is good. More time to finish the project. I just want to leave campus, I am now getting tired of it. Stress from all sides! Heart breaks here, work loads there, people everywhere. When does one get time alone? There was a day I just wanted to evanesce, to disappear, to go somewhere and not be found!! To be alone, by myself...to cry out tears- to shout out loud, to scream on top of my lungs...but I could not. There were people; people everywhere, no privacy! And where I thought I could get peace, maybe some joy, I discovered I was misunderstanding and not being understood the way I would have liked to be understood.

I do not want to feel stretched by the successes of people around me, but most times I can't help but notice. The other day I was musing, " I should be laughing at all my misfortunes but, it's not funny..." Sometimes I want to fly away or maybe just fall and not land, to be in a state of perfectness but how I have failed. The problem is that when one fails once too often, then he becomes aware that there is something really wrong with him! Take me for example...

So I said, what is better? A glass half empty or half full? I can't help but think that sometimes philosophy is for the young at experience for sometimes wise words even fail to make sense! Yet in all this, there are things that keep me on form- God, and laughter. God keeps you aware you have a purpose and that there is a good thing comin tomorrow. Laughter keeps the heart at ease.

But I must tell you that when you hear of heart broken peole saying food is no longer delicious and tea is not sweet- believe them; they are telling the truth. How do I know? I have been there. Food becomes hopelessly plain, something you just swallow!

Have I not said too much?

Questions are pending. someone can help me answer them;

*how long does one have to deal with failures in hope of success?

God cannot break His own rules.

Hey God-loving people. How are you, hope kool. It's a Sunday morning and silly me with all my troubles I should be in Church not on the internet; yet i feel i need to be here.

I read the comments about my last post and i feel as though something is not right here... What I mean is, God cannot break His own rules.

Case1: God could easily have revoked His " you eat the forbidden fruit and die" commandment to Adam and Eve, but He didn't- because He is a just God. He loved them but had to abide by His onw laws or else He would be untrue to Himself. He respects His laws. What kind of God would it make Him if He was not consistent?

Case2: Samson. Was he not such a great man of God? However, when Samson got himself into trouble, God could only do as much as He was asked...the last strength to drown the Philistines. He loved Samson yes? But His love does not make Him overlook his justice.

Which leads up to my point- Since God did not want man to take the burden of sin, coz that would mean perishing for everyone, He had to find a legal way to redeem Him. Not just come tell the devil "sucker" singe him and make people holy, no! He had to send Jesus, in the form of a man, to live like a man, to die as a man, to burden the sin of entire world- so that justice would be done.

Jesus died once, and He cannot die again. Sin is forgiven once for all time- past, present, future... Blessings are inherited from Christ once and for all time, curses cannot come unless you let them. (Heb 10:10 And what God wants is for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.)

God is ever consistent. Like the statement most people use to justify loss, mbu by God!! Let us examine.

Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

But consider this next scripture

Jhn 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

We blame God for the devil's work and claim we are super spiritual! Man, God gives, He does not desire to take away- When He gives, he does without repentance...read below.

Rom 11:29
For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance. KJV. 29 For God's gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.(NLT)

For example Saul, did you observe the wisdom of David not to slay Saul when he had the chance? Yes David was the annointed King but so was Saul! Saul would be King till he died and not by David's hand.

Consider God after saying that Jesus carried away our sickness laying boils and sicknesses on one who had believed in Him.

2Cr 1:20
For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

He says all the promises. Are yes and amen. That means if you scroll down to Deuteronomy where all the blessings were laid down- they all belong to you in Jesus Christ. (Deut 28:1-14--Blessings for Obedience
"If you fully obey the Lord your God by keeping all the commands I am giving you today, the Lord your God will exalt you above all the nations of the world. 2 You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God:
3
You will be blessed in your towns and in the country.
4
You will be blessed with many children and productive fields.
You will be blessed with fertile herds and flocks.
5
You will be blessed with baskets overflowing with fruit, and with kneading bowls filled with bread.
6
You will be blessed wherever you go, both in coming and in going.
7 "The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!
8 "The Lord will bless everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
9 "If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he solemnly promised to do. 10 Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the Lord, and they will stand in awe of you.
11 "The Lord will give you an abundance of good things in the land he swore to give your ancestors-many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. 12 The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens to bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them. 13 If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God and carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always have the upper hand. 14 You must not turn away from any of the commands I am giving you today to follow after other gods and worship them.)

God is consistent. He will not break His own rules.

Back to Job and Paul. Job in his distress said God gives and takes away, Jesus on the other hand (God himself) says it is the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy.

Divide the word -
2Ti 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We are in the new dispensation of Grace, not law.
Rom 10:4
For Christ [is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Eph 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God.

Grace through Faith.

God breaking his own rules makes him inconsistent, unfaithful, and a liar which He says that He is not... consider the statement you made.

Friday, June 15, 2007

a thought.

The Holy Spirit inspires Paul to say divide the word of truth...where is it applicable, where is it not? If the Word says he became a curse so I may be blessed, how do u get that? means you are not under a curse, coz Jesus became it so that you may become blessed. Being cool with poverty is like saying, it's okay, if God wanted me to be sick, in debt, under stress, hungry, naked... Maaaan....Isaiah 53: surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.Isa 53:5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

You must be blind not to see that Jesus came so that you may be free.

John 10:10 The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but i have come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly--- get it? What does it mean to you?

thanks.

T-Bone T-Bone
Bone-A-Fide (Flicker)
Released September 2005

Sounds like … a wide variety of hip-hop cats and crews such as 50 Cent, G-Unit, Jay-Z, the Black Eyed Peas, Terror Squad, Run-D.M.C., and the Ying Yang Twins, among others.

At a glance … exceptionally produced, this is the most ambitious album T-Bone has ever made, but it might also be viewed as his most "boastful" or " self-centered."

Track Listing

Who is that dude on T-Bone's album cover? Could it be Ernesto "Che" Guevara? No, it's T-Bone himself, doing his best impersonation of the late Fidel Castro aide. Now, before you start thinking he's making a case for communism with his newest release, Bone-A-Fide, think again. Like Guevara, Boney Bone Corleone may be a revolutionary, but his mission is quite different. This self-proclaimed "lyrical assassin" wants to stir a revolution and destroy the strongholds secular hip-hop has secured in today's media-saturated culture.

To do this, he enlisted the help of Louis "Buster" Brown (Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams), one half of famous production team Buster & Shavoni. T-Bone makes music for a mix of races—black, whites, Filipinos, Latinos—and Brown similarly steered this project in as many directions and traditions as possible. As the executive producer, he called on other renowned producers—the Avila Brothers, Darkchild's Fred Jerkins, Warryn Campbell, Bosko—and together they helped T-Bone make his most musically ambitious project to date. Bone-A-Fide, as a whole, sounds great, and it has nothing to envy of other projects coming out of the mainstream market.

The most noticeable change in T-Bone's style is how he trades his West Coast methodology for the East Coast sounds of G-Unit, Jay-Z, and the Terror Squad. As a pop-rapper, it's certainly an inspired move for him, seeing how the West hasn't produced anything as commercially viable in years, confined mostly to underground circles. The problem with this switch is that he tries to be too many things at once, and the short attention span can only get him so far with those who would prefer he stick to one persona. The emcee does prove quite versatile, channeling the Beastie Boys in one track ("12 Years Ago"), a tamer version of Lil' Jon & the Eastside Boyz in another ("Shake Ya Body"), and the playful raps of Eminem after that ("Bounce"). By the end of the disc, one is not sure whether he's resorting to flattery of these pop idols or simply imitating them. But it sounds good, and at least he—or his producers, rather—should get credit for that.

But that's just the start. T-Bone tips his hat to nearly everything that has proved successful and popular in the pop-rap realm. Besides bringing on the crunk in "Shake Ya Body," the guitars and introspection of "A Few Good Men" evokes early Black Eyed Peas. The biographical "I Have Been Looking Around" looks to two sources of inspiration, namely Kanye West (for its sped-up soul sample) and Jay-Z (for the flow and the way he talks about his past as Jay did on The Black Album). Gangsta rap is represented in "It's OK," a cut worthy of a 50 Cent or a G-Unit album, lazy flow and all. Elsewhere, T-Bone offers his best version of the Terror Squad's 2004 hit "Lean Back" in the blazing "Follow T," except T-Bone glorifies self as opposed to the hustling and pimping the New York crew does.

Wait, T-Bone glorifies whom? Yes, amidst all the exceptional production tactics and on-point beats, it's impossible not to dismiss the countless instances in which T-Bone pats himself on the back for his considerable skills, accomplishments, and possessions. More so than previous albums, Bone-A-Fide is intent on letting us know T-Bone was nominated for a Grammy, that he had a feature role in the movie The Fighting Temptations, that he's talented at the microphone, and that he drives a white Mercedes with "chrome spinning rims." Check out these lyrics from the aforementioned "Follow T": "From sold out arenas to the silver screen, I move crowds and drop hits that make the people scream… [I] stack cream… get chauffeured in stretched-out limousines… Bone is hard as it gets and I don't fly first class. Why? I travel with chefs on private jets."

Is it really necessary to let listeners know that T-Bone enjoys all these luxuries, or is this his own gospel-rap version of prosperity gospel. It's the same lyrical technique preacher-turned-rapper Mase used last year, and it backfired on him because many rightly thought his newfound love for Jesus and his outspoken love for mammon were two mutually exclusive things. T-Bone does oppose the sexed-up, violent nature of hip-hop ("Let That Thang Go"), but he doesn't do anything to decry its materialistic excesses.

Bone-A-Fide is an extremely well made album, and there's no question that T-Bone loves Jesus. But it's tough to see him reflected in the rapper's music when many of his themes are centered on talk of "stacking chips and pushing whips" [i.e., making money and driving nice cars]. According to reports, T-Bone recently finished work on an MTV film in which he stars alongside R&B princess Ciara. The movie hasn't released yet, but who knows for how many albums we're going to be hearing about it. T-Bone is clearly a capable lyricist, but I wish he wouldn't try so hard to prove it.

Amy thing will do...

musically confused, lyrically obsessed ad spiritually determined. THis is how i feel about the music of Evanescence, particularly Ame Lee who is the main soloist.vocalist.
I was reading ChristianityToday.com and found out that actually Ben Moody and Amy were friends who were Christian youth campers. As in you've heard of Campus camps in churches, blah. Well, and their music sounded so alluring- made one fall for Jesus over and over. Then the f-bomb as ChristianityToday.com put it, Ben and AMy denied their music was of christian genre yet Wind-Up records their label had sold their music to christian stores, recalling after the interview with Entertainment Today. Why deny Christ? Their record was a good one, i have particular faves, like bring me to life, tourniquet etc. It just makes me feel ....yet their album is not consistent.
Moody left, Amy broke up with Seether's lead Morgan, etc of tragedy. In her Open Door (oooh, the title sounds so Chri...ok i won't say it) she looks like all is messed up, needs a higher power, oh how i wish she wd just become committed and do great sounds like tourniquet. I love rock, Evanescence was going to be the best Christian rock i heard, then they denied it after claiming (by selling their music to Christian stores) they were not assoc'd with the genre? Money? Fame?

COuld they make up their minds and stop beating around the bush?

Meanwhile, deadline for project is next week. Shd be through by Friday, then August i graduate.

Are They or Aren't They?
Answer by Mark Matlock

Q. I'm a fan of Evanescence. When they first came out, there was debate about whether they were a Christian band. So are they?

A. According to lead singer Amy Lee, any possible Christian content from Evanescence's 2003 Fallen album came from former guitarist Ben Moody. So how does she now answer the question, "Is Evanescence a Christian band?" She recently told reporters this: "Can we please skip the Christian thing? I'm so over it. It's the lamest thing. I fought that from the beginning. I never wanted to be associated with it. … It's over. It's a new day."

We need to take her word for it. They aren't a Christian band—meaning a group that makes music with the intention of worshiping Christ and/or spreading his Word. Their lyrics—as Amy says—aren't written to glorify or praise Christ. But it's impossible for us as outsiders to know what's going on in the band member's hearts. There are hints of hurting and searching for meaning in their songs. And on The Open Door's liner notes, some of them, including Amy, thank God. One member thanks his Savior Jesus.

So, we shouldn't consider Evanescence a Christian band, but what should we do with them? We should pray for them. And if their lyrics of lost love, brokenness and seeking bring you down, then try Christian bands Plumb, Gretchen or Skillet.

the last days.

These are the last days and no, i do not mean as of Jesus coming back to marry us who are His bride/Church. I mean these are my last 30 or so days on the beautiful hill of Makerere as a student.

Here I am and i have finally managed to grow a moustache and now i can witness strands at ny chin. Oooh I am so happy!!! Not only that, I have come to the realisation that I must leave home and look for a life, i mean a wife; sorry!

Naye, these three years have really been... I have learnt so much in three years, about God, women and other people, as well as my profession. You see, you will find that though women came out of man, they are altogether different (didn't need a brain scientist to figure that out.)

I am not worried. No. Not about a job, a wife, a home and else coz all those things i already have. check the Bible. I have made friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did i ever tell you that from p1-p3 it like i had no friends? I was not really the popular guy. But look what God has done with me on campus- i inspire, mentor people!!! I am grown up.

I am looking forward to August when I graduate, after which I may pause reading books. Anyway, free net on campus, free rooms, free supper ( though, it is not every person's desire), almost living for free.

Aren't I happy am grown up. These last days I shall savour.
